20 Small but impactful self care ideas

  • Buy yourself some flowers - or a plant

  • Play some music - have a dance

  • Use a hot water bottle at bedtime or when you need comforting

  • Get a good night's sleep

  • Give yourself a hug - cross your arms over your chest and rub your shoulders.

  • Clear your space - bedroom, living room, kitchen or bed. Go wild and clear your whole house.

  • Light a candle

  • Have a bath - throw in some bath salts or essential oils (or both!)

  • Make a hot drink and sip it quietly

  • Change your bedsheets

  • Have a lie down

  • Wash your face first and last thing each day

  • Take 3 deep breaths

  • Do 5 minutes of stretching - let those 5 minutes roll into 10

  • Call a friend

  • Cook your favourite recipe - or order a delivery

  • Drink a glass of water

  • Tell yourself 'this too shall pass'

  • Go for a walk

  • Do some journaling or make a list of all that's worrying you
